In order to condemn the attempted State coup on 24th December, a demonstration took place in Djibloho in order to loudly condemn these terrorist acts, and ask the law and the international community for a suitable response, which would serve as a lesson.
The peaceful demonstration was attended not only by citizens from the city, but also from various resident nationalities, and civil and military authorities, members of the Democratic Party of Equatorial Guinea (PDGE) and the women’s organisations,and ASHO and Antorcha youth federations.
At 10:00 on 20th January a mass was held, after which the demonstration began on the esplanade of the Grand Hotel Djibloho, which then passed through the streets and concluded with speeches from various authorities and a reading of the manifesto by the PDGE District Councillor, Sebastian Micha Ngui, representing all the structures making up the party.
After that, the Government Delegate, Marcelino Oluy Abeso, commented on the sentences deserved by the players in the coup attempt, for both the organisers and the groups associated with this plan of action.
In addition, the impressions of various young, elderly and foreign citizens and foreign residents were heard, who asked that the identities of all those involved in the acts be revealed.
