Director General for Equality at meeting of CPLP women ministers

Margarita Esono Nguema attended the meeting of CPLP women ministers.

To mark the 63rd period of Sessions of the Legal and Social Condition of the Woman, which is taking place in New York from 12th to 22nd March, the ministers for Gender Equality from the CPLP met at the Cape Verde Permanent Mission before the United Nations, with the participation of the Director general for Gender Equality, Margarita Esono Nguema, who attended the work as leader of the Social Affairs delegation.

Overseen by the Minister for Education and Social Inclusion from Cape Verde, Maritza Rosabal, the meeting served as an opportunity for those present to cover the balance of the initiative from 2018, described by the CPLP as the Year Without Violence Against Women and Girls; and on the preparations for the fifth meeting of the ministers responsible for equality and the empowerment of women from the Community of Portuguese Language Countries (CPLP), planned for October 2019.
