Director General of Environmental Conservation brings seminar on climate change to a close

The main aim of the workshop was to share with the participants the provisions taken by the United Nations Convention Framework on Climate Change, for the processes of mitigation and adaptation to climate change on a global level, and the various tools developed in order to prevent this reality.

Following the participation of the delegation led by the Secretary of State, Charged with the Environment, various issues were covered, in order that the participants who had attended the COP23 could explain the issues looked at, and in that way take into account the aspects dealt with with regards to COP 24.

During the seminar, there was a brief historical summary of the question of climate change, its causes and the main impact caused to date on a global scale; furthermore, the previous UN convention, its origins and operation, was covered, in addition to its main aims and achievements.

The seminar concluded with questions, recommendations from participants, and closing words from the Director General for Environmental Conservation, Gabriel Ngua Ayecaba.
