Diana Milagrosa Obono Bonsundi and Milagrosa Angue Ndong are the two patients who were evacuated on 3rd October to Tunisia, under the auspices of the Honorary President of the Support Committee for the Equatoguinean Child, Constancia Mangue de Obiang.
The girl, Diana Milagrosa Obono, is a year and five months, and has hydrocephalus. She has been operated on three times in Bata, without success.
Thanks to the help from the First Lady she was evacuated to Tunisia, where she will receive specialist medical attention. Her mother, Catalina Bonsundi Bwanga, in addition to expressing her gratitude to the First Lady, is hopeful that her daughter will recover.
The other patient, Milagrosa Angue Ndong, is 17 years old, and is afflicted by a tumour in her left eye.
The Deputy Director General for Protocol from the First Lady’s Office, Javier Esono Mbele, bid farewell to the patients at Malabo airport, and gave them the economic contribution necessary to cover the clinical costs.
