Equatorial Guinea and Saudi Arabia have held an Economic forum on 11th May, and its opening ceremony was co-chaired by S.E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo in Jeddah Chamber of Commerce & Industry.
The Ministers of Mines and Hydrocarbons, Telecommunications, Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Fisheries and Water, Agricultural, Livestock and Food Resources, in addition to airfreight companies attended the forum.
The framework cooperation agreements and the memorandum of understanding on mutual political and diplomatic consultations by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from the two nations have made it possible to organise this forum, which has attracted the attention of investors from different fields, and in which the first departments benefited by the Saudi Arabian contribution have been Fisheries and Water Resources, Agriculture, Livestock and Food, and Mines and Hydrocarbons, in addition to the national agency Holding 2020.
The speeches by the president of the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce & Industry and the President of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea opened this economic meeting. S. E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo spoke of the free national market and his government’s predisposition to materialise the South-South Cooperation.
