On Monday 12th March, Jeronimo Osa Osa Ecoro received the Egyptian Ambassador to Equatorial Guinea, Hattem Mahmoud Abdelhali, in the audiences room at the PDGE National Office in Malabo.
During the audience, in which the PDGE General Secretary was accompanied by his deputy, Jesusa Obono Engono, Osa Osa passed on to the diplomat the gratitude of the party militancy for the success of the recent visit made by the Head of State, H. E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, to the Arab Republic of Egypt.
During that visit, the two countries signed important cooperation agreements which will make a positive contribution to the development of Equatorial Guinea. The General Secretary also informed Hattem Mahmoud Abdelhali of Equatoguinean support in the area of cooperation for the training of human resources, through the concession of study grants in the sectors of tourism, technology, fishing and industry.
For his part, the Egyptian diplomat predicted that relations between Egypt and Equatorial Guinea would produce satisfactory results following the visit by the Head of State. With regards to the training of human resources, he declared that he would pass on the proposal to the Government in his country, and hoped to obtain a positive response regarding the matter.
Hattem Mahmoud Abdelhali also spoke to Osa Osa Ecoro about the actions that the Egyptian Government is promoting in Equatorial Guinea within the framework of bilateral cooperation, specifically in the city of Oyala; and also referred to agro-industrial projects through which Egypt wishes to contribute to the Equatorial Guinea development programme.
