Embassy in Brazzaville celebrated National Independence Day

Various activities were organised on 19th October in Brazzaville, to mark the celebration of Equatorial Guinea Independence Day. The events were overseen by Samuel Ateba Owono, Ambassador to Congo Brazzaville. The day began with a thanksgiving mass at the Apostolic Nunciature, overseen by the Nuncio for Congo and Gabon, Francisco Escalante Molina.

Another of the activities planned by the Equatorial Guinea diplomatic mission was a friendly match between the Equatoguinean colony residing in Brazzaville against officials from the Ministry for Foreign Affairs; a match which ended 4-1 in favour of the Equatoguinean colony. At the end of the match, Samuel Ateba presented a trophy to the champions of this first edition 12th October Congo Brazzaville 2019.

These activities are being overseen by the head of the Equatorial Guinea diplomatic mission, assisted by Rafael Mba Esangui, acting adviser to the embassy, together with the entire Equatoguinean colony.
