The Minister for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Simeon Oyono Esono, also pointed out the position of Equatorial Guinea regarding international policy, supporting the African Union principle on reforms to the Security Council so that Africa has permanent members with rights to veto, a posture that China has always supported.
Equatorial Guinea also needs the assistance of the Chinese Government in terms of investment, financing and advice, as, thanks to the experience of the Asian giant, on which they had enjoyed during the first phase, it would be possible to implement the second phase of the National Development Programme for Horizonte 2035.
At the end of the meeting they signed a convention on economic and technical cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea and the People’s Republic of China, through which it will be possible to implement specific projects for the benefit of the Equatoguinean population.
