The Equatorial Guinea Ambassador in Brussels, Carmelo Nvono-Nca, met the Italian Eurodeputy of Congolese origin, Cecile Kashetu Kyenge, to present the candidacy of President Obiang for the award of “Best President”.

This award, which is expected to be presented in 2020, arose through the initiative of a large number of pan-African organisations from civic society throughout Europe, with the aim of recognising the work for Africa of one Head of State on a global level, and decorate the figure as the best President in the world.

During this important meeting, Nvono-Nca highlighted the relevant humanitarian work that the President of Equatorial Guinea, H. E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, has done in Africa on many occasions, as was the case of the generous contributions made regarding the cases of Ebola in Liberia, Sierra Leone and Guinea Conakry. The Eurodeputy, for his part, applauded the interesting initiative and offered the Ambassador his full support.
