Equatorial Guinea establishes diplomatic relations with the Maldives and Tajikistan

With the aim of promoting understanding between the two countries, and strengthening the friendship and bilateral cooperation based on international law, the Republic of Equatorial Guinea and the Republic of the Maldives, represented by their ambassadors before the UN, met on 21st May, to sign the document officially establishing their diplomatic relations, in accordance with the provisions of the Vienna Convention of 18th April 1961.

The meeting took place at the headquarters of our country’s diplomatic mission before the United Nations, in the presence of the deputy ambassadors, minister advisers, advisers and first secretaries from Equatorial Guinea, and figures from the Republic of the Maldives.

Following the bilateral signing, Anatolio Ndong Mba expressed his satisfaction to the permanent representative from the Maldives, and affirmed that the two Governments were going to continue to implement diplomatic actions, for the mutual benefit of their two peoples.

Minutes before the second meeting, the permanent representative from our country before the greatest forum for global diplomacy signed the establishment of diplomatic relations with the Republic of Tajikistan.
