Equatorial Guinea holds meetings for peace with international organisations in New York

On Friday 2nd March, the Equatoguinean permanent delegation in the United States held various meetings within the framework of the commitment from member States of the United Nations Organisation (UN), in collaboration with other organisations, to work together for peace in regions in conflict zones. The meetings took place in the city of New York, where the ONG Crisis Action declared its willingness to work with Equatorial Guinea towards our country’s cause.

The Crisis Action organisation praised the efforts of Equatorial Guinea on the UN Security Council since officially joining it in January this year. The ONG works with various countries on the council, and has shared experiences with the Equatoguinean delegation in questions relating to conflict zones, and methods for resolving the crisis.

Furthermore, members of Crisis Action underlined the important work by our country, declaring that Equatorial Guinea was going to continue to play an important role with regards to the struggle for peace.

The Equatoguinean delegation for its part, led by Susana Edjang Mangue and Victor Ele Ela, in addition to other members of the permanent delegation, presented fruitful ideas for an effective contribution to peace in war situations.
