The Equatorial Guinea Ambassador in Brussels, Carmelo Nvono-Nca, was invited in 12th, 13th and 14th May to the 46th Subida al Fito, a mountain rally held in the towns of Parres and Arriondas, in Asturias (Spain).
This fantastic event, which has been held since 1970, enjoys international recognition, and is maintained year after year on the calendar of the International Automobile Federation, as providing points for the world championships, in Europe and in Asturias Mountains, and it attracts great world famous drivers. This rally provides a great sporting spectacle for the thousands of fans who attend.
Nvono-Nca took advantage of the occasion to show the progress in our country, together with concerns regarding this type of large-scale event.
The eventual winner of the race was the Italian Christian Merli, and in second place his compatriot Simone Faggioli.
