The National Nzalang, after the great African Cup it played, is now among the top 50 teams in the world. The national team has the most points won (+370), the team that has risen more places (+69) and has surpassed teams with potentiallike Mali, Gabon and Zambia.
The team of Equatorial Guinea has taken a giant step in the FIFA World Ranking, which in its publication in February, the Nzalang Nacional was located at position 49, when a month before it was in 118th. The African Cup of Nations, CAN, played by the boys of Esteban Becker has given them more points than any other team in the world (+370) and allowed them to be placed in the best classification of its history.
Other African teams that have made the most of their passage through the CAN were Ivory Coast (+8), Ghana (+12), Democratic Republic of Congo (+11) and Congo Brazzaville (+12); while the team that lost most places was Libya (35).
In Asia, the national teams that have advanced their positions were those of Australia (+37); Iraq (+20); Republic of Korea (+15); China (+14); United Arab Emirates (+14) and Iran (+10), which is the only Asian team in the top 50, in the 41st position.
The next FIFA World Ranking will be published on March 12.
