Equatorial Guinea will continue to work to guarantee human rights

This was stated to the international community by the Third Vice Prime Minister Charged with Human Rights Alfonso Nsue Mokuy during his speech at the Top Level Segment of the 43rd Period of Sessions of the Human Rights Council held in Geneva Switzerland.

According to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (DUDH) proclaimed by the United Nations General Assembly in Paris in 1948 all human beings have fundamental rights obligations and freedoms irrespective of sex race nationality political or religious beliefs or social status. Nsue Mokuy affirmed that respect for human rights has been implemented in the Republic of Equatorial Guinea through the support provided to the competent institutions.

Alfonso Nsue Mokuy in addition to reporting to the international community on the achievements in our country with respect to human rights also declared the commitment of the Government to meet the objectives outlined by the United Nations in the promotion of human rights.

The head of Human Rights concluded his speech by pointing out that the Government in our country is conscious that human rights should be guided by the application of the Sustainable Development Goals in order to achieve a world and well-being guaranteed for all.
