The Minister for Social Affairs and Gender Equality marked International Women’s Day with a Eucharistic celebration at the Santuario Claret Holy Church. The celebration was led by the Third Vice Prime Minister, Charged with Human Rights, Alfonso Nsue Mokuy, and the Minister for Social Affairs, María Consuelo Nguema Obama.
Also present was the President of the Senate, women from Parliament and various associations, among others.
The first and second readings and the Gospel formed the instructions from the priest during his homily, which focussed on the role of women in recent years, the objectives achieved through the evolution of women in all sectors and in their development.
Furthermore, he invited everyone to continue working, and above all to reflect good behaviour in society.
Moving on with the liturgy, the priest continued after the homily with a final blessing and brought the mass to an end.
