The Minister for Finance, the Economy and Planning, Cesar Augusto Mba Abogo, was interviewed by the media, in order to hear his evaluation of the technical meetings of the III National Economic Conference (NEC).
Cesar Augusto Mba Abogo declared that the technical work at the NEC had concluded, and the following step was for the results of the work carried out to be passed on to the political conferences, involving the Government, State powers, civic society and the private sector. This is a strategic political approach on how to implement all the measures and recommendations, and the structure of the proposed development plan, Horizonte 2020.
Th minister said that it will be a development plan containing the priorities that were identified during the Second National Economic Conference: diversify the sources of economic growth and improve the living conditions for the population.
But in this phase, we will have an advantage, which is that the country now has a basis for economic and social development, which in 2007, during the National Economic Conference, the Government promised to put in place, through the construction of logistic and economic structures of all kinds. Governability remains strong, the Constitution has been revised, the social sector has seen a significant transformation, and there are more human resources, among other things”, he added.
He concluded by saying that what was going to be delivered at the political conference was a solid technical plan, which was the work of civic society, the private sector and the entire Government, and it would be those that would create the plan.
