On the morning of Thursday 31st October there was a meeting of the Executive Board at the Ministry for Information, Press and Radio. The meeting was chaired by the head of this department, Eugenio Nze Obiang. The meeting took place at the moment when the Executive has just returned to the Insular region, after spending more than six months in the Continental Region, where the celebrated the festivities to mark the 51st Anniversary of National Independence.
During the meeting, which was attended by the general secretary, director generals and secretaries, together with area heads of departments, the minister began his speech by praising the work of the group and assuring that at the ministry work had been carried out in compliance with the established plan.
Nze Obiang appealed to the officials to engage with the performance of their mandates, We will continue with the same dynamic, we are open to innovation and questions that may improve our services. Trust does not absolve you from control; every one must repay the trust that has been placed in the commitment to successfully carry out their mandate”.
The minister also reaffirmed that the praise did not imply there was no place for improvement, and to take care of their professional zeal and respect for the hierarchy.
In addition to the any other business section, Nze Obiang also reported on the upcoming Summit of Gas Producing Countries in Malabo, at which media coverage is expected from national and international press.
