Finance Minister meets US Deputy Secretary for African Affairs

The excellent relations between the Republic of Equatorial Guinea and the United States, which go back various years, allow a constant exchange of impressions through visits by authorities from the two countries. In this context, Cesar Augusto Mba Abogo, Minister for Finance, the Economy and Planning, arrived at the headquarters of the State department in the city of Washington, to meet the Deputy Secretary of State Charged with African Affairs.

Accompanied by the Equatorial Guinea Ambassador to the United States, Miguel Ntutumu Evuna, the Secretary of State for the Treasury, Milagrosa Obono Angue, and the first adviser to the embassy, Luis Engongo Ndong, members of the Government and the senior official from the North American State department congratulated each other for the good bilateral ties between our country and the United States, and focussed their conversations on the concern of both sides regarding the trafficking of people, and on the progress of negotiations between the Republic of Equatorial Guinea and the International Monetary Fund.
