First Lady aids victims of Timbabe fire

On Thursday 27th December, the four victims of the fire which occurred on 24th December received help from the First Lady of the Nation, Constancia Mangue de Obiang. The Godmother of the Most Vulnerable Social Strata in the country donated a residence in the neighbourhood of Buena Esperanza Dos to each of the victims.

The First Lady of the Nation helped the four victims of the Timbabe fire from 24th December, with a residence for each one, plus one million Franco CFA.

Elvira Mangue, Filomena Oyana Obiang, Maria Teresa Ebong Obama and Maria Escolastica Mitogo, were victims of the fire which occurred at nine on the evening on Christmas Eve. Fortunately there were no fatalities, but the victims lost all their belongings.

During the ceremony, Constancia Mangue de Obiang expressed her sympathy for the victims, while stating that this was no t a gift, but assistance for those most in need.

As a consequence, the First Lady advised the beneficiaries not to sell their homes, as others had done.

The four victims, old neighbours from a shack in Timbabe, will also be neighbours in a building in Buena Esperanza Dos in Sampaka.
