On Friday 16th February, the First Lady of the Nation, Constancia Mangue de Obiang, met the Prime Minister of the Government, Charged with Administrative Coordination, Francisco Pascual Obama Asue, and other members of the Government, to look at matters regarding International Woman0s Day on 8th March. The First Lady of the Nation, Constancia Mangue de Obiang, has dedicated around 45 million Franco CFA to the celebration.
During the First Lady’s activities, she also met met, in joint audience, the First Vice Prime Minister, Charged with the Political Sector and Democracy and Minister for the Interior and Local Corporations, Clemente Engonga Nguema Onguene, and the Minister for Social Affairs and Gender Equality, Maria Consuelo Nguema Oyana.
Constancia Mangue de Obiang has released the sum of 44 million 900 thousand Franco CFA for all the women of the districts and municipalities of the country, confirmed Nguema Onguene, to the media.
Furthermore, the Minister for Social Affairs and Gender Equality, Maria Consuelo Nguema Oyana, in her first statement, issued a message of encouragement to all the women of Equatorial Guinea, “we must work hard in order to achieve equality by 2030”.
In the meeting held with the Prime Minister, Obama Asue encouraged the First Lady to continue to support the most vulnerable social layers in the country.
