The First Lady of the Nation, H. E. Constancia Mangue de Obiang, began her bureaucratic activities of 2023 with a meeting held on Wednesday 11th January, to address issues related to the Project to Support Women’s Initiatives in Equatorial Guinea, AIMUGE.
This is the 6,800,000,000 Franco CFA that the Central African States Development Bank, BDEAC, granted to our country for the emancipation and socio-economic empowerment of Equatoguinean women.
The meeting was attended by the acting Minister for Social Affairs and Gender Equality, María Consuelo Nguema Oyana, and the economist, Fortunato Ofa Mbo Nchama. The two sides discussed the second issue of credit to all women in Equatorial Guinea, regardless of ethnicity or political or religious persuasion.
Mangue de Obiang’s aim is that all women in the country should benefit from the credit, which is why the Doctor Honoris Causa in Social Sciences has advocated a relaxation of the conditions.
The Project to Support Women’s Initiatives in Equatorial Guinea includes literacy training, strengthening wealth creation and creating centres for the promotion of women, where they will be able to learn trades.
