First Lady receives new Chinese Ambassador

The birthday of the First Lady of the nation, Constancia Mangue de Obiang, is coming up on 20th August. For that reason, she has begun to receive gifts, in this case, from the new Ambassador from the People’s Republic of China, Qi Mei, who presented a gift to mark the birthday of the First lady.

The First Lady of the nation received in audience the new Ambassador from the People’s Republic of China in Malabo, Qi Mei, who has been accredited in Malabo for the last 100 days.

In conversations held in the presence of the Adviser to the Presidency of the Republic in the First Lady’s Cabinet, Ernesto Valentin Ndong Mba, Mangue de Obiang and Qi Mei reviewed and strengthened the relations of friendship and cooperation that unite Malabo and Beijing, with respect to the emancipation of Equatoguinean women and the care of the elderly in Equatorial Guinea.

During another moment in the audience, the official of H. E. Xi Jinping congratulated Mangue de Obiang on the recently celebrated 40th Anniversary of the Freedom Coup, and surprised her with a valuable gift, which symbolises peace and life, to mark the birthday of the First Lady on 20th August.

This was the first meeting between Constancia Mangue de Obiang and Qi Mei, since she was entrusted with the post of People’s Republic of China Extraordinary Plenipotentiary Ambassador before the Government of H. E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo 100 days ago.
