On 16th June it is the International Day of the African Child. The National President of the Commission for Children’s Rights, Constancia Mangue de Obiang, spoke on 10th June to Rita Constant, president of the Diplomatic Ladies in Malabo, regarding the celebration. She also spoke to Anacleto Olo.
With the collaboration of UNICEF, the International Day of the African Child is being celebrated under the banner: Humanitarian action in Africa, the rights of the child first”.
A gala will take place on the afternoon of 14th June, at the headquarters of the United Nations in Malabo, with speeches, theatre productions and musical performances.
For the promotion of Equatoguinean girls with respect to health and hygiene, the First Lady received the president of the Science and Technology Research Council, Anacleto Olo Mibuy, with the aim of speaking about the dissemination of health and hygiene measures that mothers should know during pregnancy, and regarding the care of newborns.
With Anacleto Olo Mibuy, the First Lady also spoke about matters such as the creation of a foundation which would bring together all the social and humanitarian work done by the Doctor Honoris Causa in Social Sciences.
