This featured Luis Nguema Ona, outgoing General Secretary, and Goretti Mitogo Richibue, incoming General Secretary, and the two in their statements before official staff and the executive at the ministry thanked the Head of State, H. E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo for his trust, and asked their successors to work as a team.
Other aims of the committee are the selection and drawing up of priority projects included within the Beijing action plan from the latest China-Africa Cooperation Forum (FOCAC).
The Minister for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation spoke at the meeting to report on the role of the committee and its upcoming meetings, in which it will examine the state of current projects in Equatorial Guinea and the People’s Republic of China, and the possibilities for the resumption, creation and analysis of the relationship in projects that the Government will shortly be sending to Beijing, based on recently concluded negotiations between the two parties.
The committee is made up of representatives from the ministerial departments of Finance, Mines, Industry, Public Works, GE-Projects, State Treasury and the 2020 Agency, among others.
