First PDGE Executive Council meeting

The General Secretary of the Democratic Party of Equatorial Guinea (PDGE), Jeronimo Osa Osa Ecoro, chaired, on 18th May, at the headquarters of the National Office in Malabo II, the First Executive Council meeting with heads of department and their corresponding Deputies, recently appointed by the Head of State and President Founder of the party, H. E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, under Resolution number 7, of 20th April.

Osa Osa, who congratulated the new appointees in accordance with the decisions of the 3rd PDGE Extraordinary Congress, asked them “to step up so that your work provides results in the short term”, before recalling that the party is not a “money-making institution, but a political one”.

In pointing out that “the honour, ideological faithfulness, transparency and loyalty must be the guidelines for our actions”, he asked those at the meeting to work as a team and support the actions of the Government.

The new appointees must transform their knowledge into reality, actions, programmes, and activities that reinforce the functional dynamism of the party, and make proposals for improvements, he added.

“Coming up soon is the celebration of our party’s ordinary national congress”, recalled Osa Osa, and he concluded affirming that “the basis for the elaboration of programmes in the congress depends to a great extent on the reflections of the National Office to boost dynamism”.
