Within the framework of his participation in the 74th Period of Sessions of the United Nations General Assembly, in representation of the Head of State, the Minister for foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Simeon Oyono Esono Angue, has held various audiences at the United Nations headquarters, with counterparts from friendly countries.
The first audience, which was held on Monday 23rd September, was a meeting between Esono Angue and the Norwegian Foreign Minister, Ine Eriksen Soereide, in order to speak about oceanic matters and the possibility of bilateral cooperation in questions regarding the blue economy.
Minutes later, the Equatoguinean minister received his counterpart from India, Subrahmanyam Jaushankar, and the two ministers focussed their conversation on matters of bilateral interest between the two countries.
The meetings continued on Tuesday 24th with a meeting between the Minister, Simeon Oyono Esono and Ciaran Cannon, Minister for International Development and the Irish Diaspora, and Ezechiel Nibigira, Minister for Foreign Affairs from Burundi, with whom he spoke about bilateral cooperation and matters relating to the United Nations Security Council.
