Foreign Minister receives German Government Ambassador for United Nations Affairs

The Minister for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Simeon Oyono Esono Angue, received in the audience lounge at the ministerial headquarters the German Ambassador, Charged with United Nations Affairs and responsible for terrorism issues at the German Ministry for Foreign Relations, Andreas Kunne, who was accompanied by the German Ambassador to Equatorial Guinea, Elmar Jakobs.

The Federal Republic of Germany recently concluded its fifth mandate as non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council and, from 1st January, continued its presence as non-permanent member for the sixth time, alongside Equatorial Guinea.

The Republic of Equatorial Guinea is currently continuing to exercise its responsibility as non-permanent member, which allowed the member of the German Government and the Minister for Foreign Affairs to coincide on the desire to work together to exchange opinions on matters relating to the United Nations Security Council.
