A delegation from the Republic of Equatorial Guinea arrived last weekend in Kinshasa (Democratic Republic of Congo), led by the Minister for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Simeon Oyono Esono.
On arrival at the international airport they were received by the Equatorial Guinea Ambassador in Brazzaville, concurrent in Congo, Samuel Ateba Owono Iyanga, and the Congolese Ambassador to Equatorial Guinea, Nadine Tchamulsso.
After waiting for several hours, Simeon Oyono Esono delivered the written message to the President of Democratic Republic of Congo, H. E. Joseph Kabila Kabanga, sent by the President of Equatorial Guinea, H. E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo; the contents of the message was not revealed, but it is thought to be in relation to the current political situation in the country.
The Democratic Republic of Congo expects to have within a few days a new leader of the Presidency of the Republic, after the Constitutional Court validated the provisional results of the Independent national Electoral Commission, on 19th January, in the capital of the country.
