Foreign Minister visits South African and Mozambique

Within the framework of strengthening the good relations which exist between the Republic of Equatorial Guinea and the Republic of South Africa, Simeon Oyono Esono Angue, Minister for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, has travelled to South Africa as special envoy, bearing a message from S. E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo for his counterpart, H. E. Ciryl Ramaphosa, President of the Republic of South Africa, and president of the ruling political party, the African National Congress.

Received by the South African President at the presidential residence in Johannesburg , Simeon Oyono Esono delivered the message sent by H. E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo.

After the meeting, the Equatoguinean chancellor was also received by the South African Vice-President, David Mabusa, who a short time ago was the bearer of a message from his president for H. E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo.

Accompanied by Francisco Edu Ngua Mengue, Extraordinary Plenipotentiary Ambassador from our embassy in South Africa, Oyono Esono held a meeting with accredited Equatoguinean diplomatic personnel from the southern area of the African continent, to wish them luck in their tasks.

Following that, the minister continued his trip to the Republic of Mozambique, to deliver another message from H. E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo to his counterpart H. E. Filipe Nyussi, Head of State.

At the meeting, the Equatoguinean chancellor was accompanied by Bienvenido Esono Enconga, accredited Republic of Equatorial Guinea Extraordinary Plenipotentiary Ambassador to Mozambique.
