On 12th June, the Spanish Cultural Centre in Malabo began the opening of the fourth edition of the School Theatre Festival, organised by the Bocamandja, Locos por la Cultura, and Amea theatre groups.
The event took place in the function room at the centre, and was attended by the UNICEF Representative, Fernando Dekono, and the Director General of the Spanish Cultural Centre in Malabo.
The organisers have chosen the banner “Children’s rights”, with the aim of educating the students regarding their rights. The plays which will be presented during the event will be related to children’s rights, the protection of childhood, and values.
Specifically, on Tuesday afternoon, the Don Bosco Private Centre presented its play “Cornered”. The activities will continue until 16th, when the awards will be announced.
