The accredited Equatorial Guinea Extraordinary Plenipotentiary Ambassador to the Republic of Indonesia, German Ekua Sima Abaga, held a courtesy meeting on Tuesday 6th February, with members from the Ministry for Foreign Relations from the Asian country.
The meeting, which took place in the city of Jakarta, was used to cover matters regarding the upcoming Indonesia-Africa Cooperation Forum.
Some of the other matters covered in the conversation between the ambassador and the head of protocol were the framework agreements of cooperation between Equatorial Guinea and Indonesia, which may be signed soon, the solid current state of bilateral relations, and the exploration of new areas of cooperation.
Indonesia is where the spirit which is boosting South-South cooperation was born. It is for that reason that Equatorial Guinea, as a country from the south, aims to recover that spirit, which led to the creation of the Non-Aligned Movement, as stated by the Equatoguinean diplomat, who added that “only in that way can we achieve the aims that our Governments naturally have in common, such as sustainable development, economic stability, and our convergent vision with regards to world peace and security”.
