GITGE Educa project provides educational centres with fibre optics

The GITGE Educa project is a social initiative that aims to provide fibre optical connection for educational centres, in order to support in education the area of new technologies, currently an indispensable tool for the development of any area. In addition to that, it aims to support the construction or rehabilitation of a fully equipped computer room.

On 25th October, in the urban district of Basakato del Oeste, the delivery of Internet connection by fibre optics took place, in addition to the equipment for a computer room at the Dulce Nombre de Maria School.

The presentation, overseen by the General Inspector for Education, was also attended by various figures from the area, including the Governor of the Province of Bioko Sur, and the board of GITGE, led by its Director General, A�scar Ondo Ngomo Nchama.

Our deep and sincere thanks to the company GITGE for the change that, from this moment, the students and inhabitants of this urban district are going to see”, declared the head of the Victoria Sari Ganet centre.

In his speech, the Director General of GITGE motivated young people to make good use of the donated material and infrastructure, and to believe in themselves.

Following a blessing of the room by a priest and group photo, the directors of the centre offered the guests refreshments to celebrate the satisfactory conclusion of the work.
