GITGE to supervise construction work of 34 communication towers

The Government of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea, in its ambitious project to provide the country with infrastructures that allow the development of Equatoguineans in all aspects of daily life, has charged the Ministry for transport, the Postal Service and Telecommunications with the task of resolving the connection problems suffered by various populations from the interior.

The ministry has delegated GITGE, as the autonomous body responsible for the maintenance and re-evaluation of telecommunication infrastructures in the country, with the work of overseeing the construction of 34 very high communication towers (from 75m to 100m), in order to maximise coverage in adjacent areas.

A team from GITGE, led by its Deputy Director General, Marcos Nkogo MaAe, went to the area from 24th to 26th October, in order to view progress on the work, the delivery of which is forecast for may 2019.
