Government Communique condemns interference from French courts

The Government of the republic of Equatorial Guinea has issued a press communique in which it expresses its condemnation of the interference by French courts of justice into matters of Equatoguinean internal jurisdiction. The complete communique is included with this article.

The Government of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea declares its condemnation of acts of interference into matters of Internal State Jurisdiction by the French Courts.

The United Nations Charter, in Article 2.7, categorically prohibits this type of intrusion into affairs whose solution, due to the Sovereignty of States (Article 2.4 of the aforementioned Charter), depends solely on the States themselves.

The Government of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea considers it unacceptable and inappropriate that French criminal Jurisdiction is violating the basic elementary Principles which constituted a key element in the creation of the UN”, thus began the press communique.
