Government holds Interministerial Council meeting

On Tuesday 6th November an Interministerial Council meeting was held, in order to continue with the matters that were covered at the latest meeting on 4th October.

The session, which was overseen by the Prime Minister of the Government, Charged with Administrative Coordination, Francisco Pascual Obama Asue, took place in the meeting room at the Ministry for Finance, the Economy and Planning.

Following the adoption of the agenda, the session analysed the Draft Project for Equatorial Guinea Postal Law, presented by the Ministry for Transport, the Postal Service, and Telecommunications. Following that, the Presidency of the Government presented the Draft Project for Decree granting the Title of “12th October 2018, 50th Anniversary” to the Promenade in Malabo.

The Membership Convention for the National Gendarmerie of Equatorial Guinea in the Organisation of African Gendarmeries (OGA) was presented by the Minister of State for National Security, Nicolas Obama Nchama; while the report on the identification of sources of income for ministerial departments was another of the issues presented by the head of Transport, Eucario Bacale.

During the meeting, the Minister for Finance justified the collection of current account income for the months of July, August and September 2018. With respect to the any other business section, the Minister for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Simeon Oyono Esono, highlighted the agreements and conventions signed between the Republic of Equatorial Guinea and friendly countries and international bodies.

The members of the Government also spoke about various provisions for the proposals on cover for Christmas and New Year 2019.
