Government launches 16th National Campaign against Polio

On 1st April mobilisation activities began for the current campaign that aims to vaccinate over 170,000 children under five years of age. The press release for the campaign is included here.

The Government of Equatorial Guinea, in conjunction with UNICEF and WHO, are launching the 16th national vaccination Campaign against Polio. The campaign, which will take place between 15th and 17th April 2019, aims to vaccinate all the under fives. In other words, over 170,000 children throughout the country.

To do this, UNICEF has acquired the vaccines necessary and has financed a large campaign of social mobility and training for those in charge of the operation.
