On 13th March, the Second Secretary at the Equatorial Guinea Embassy in the People’s Republic of China, Maria Nieves Osa Nzang, representing the Ambassador and at the invitation of the University of Linton in Malaysia, attended a graduation ceremony for fifteen Equatoguinean students who had been studying in Malaysia thanks to grants offered by the company Gepetrol.
The ceremony, which took place in the city of Kuala Lumpur, was moving, as the university, through its Vice-Chancellor, Doctor Kamis Bin Awang, recognised the huge effort made by the Equatoguinean students.
Osa Nzang welcomed the recognition and stated that, thanks to the support provided by various foreign universities to Equatoguinean students, they were contributing towards achieving some of the main aims of our Government: the implementation of educational programmes for the training of young people inside and outside the country, signing agreements with universities such as Linton, with the aim of establishing collaboration in matters of the education and training of human resources.
During his stay in Malaysia, the second secretary visited the University of Linton, where he was received by various professors and by Equatoguinean students, whom he urged to redouble their efforts in order to complete their degrees and then return to the country to contribute to its development.
