We are publishing the greetings message sent by the Head of State, H. E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, to his Niger counterpart.
On leaving the beautiful land of this great Nation that, once again, I have had the honour to visit on the occasion of the commemoration of the 60th Anniversary of the Proclamation of the Republic of Niger, the celebration of which took place on 18th December in the magnificent city of Zinder; it is my honour to express to the People, Government, and particularly Your Excellency, my most sincere thanks for the invitation issued to me to take part in this important event, while extending my congratulations for the excellent organisation.
This invitation is without doubt an unequivocal sign of the excellence and warmth of the relations of brotherhood and cooperation between our two Peoples and Governments, based on the principles of South-South cooperation. It is along these lines that we are taking into account that our two countries signed a Framework Agreement on Cooperation on 21st February 2006 and, equally, signed the Agreement on the Free Exchange Zone for Continental Africa (ZLECA) in January 2018, whose leader in the African Union on these matters is Your Excellency. It is my greatest desire that this meeting will serve to consolidate and strengthen our valued bilateral relations and we can continue with the promotion of a more dynamic cooperation between our countries, through the seeking of ways and means towards growth and development in reciprocal benefit.
On renewing my full willingness and commitment to opening with Your Excellency a new era of opportunities in favour of the strengthening and promotion of our relations of friendship and cooperation, please accept, Mister President and Dear Brother, this expression of my highest fraternal consideration.
