The fifth Ordinary General Assembly of the African Union Industry Agriculture Chambers of Commerce has been held in the capital of Egypt (Cairo).

This organisation of African chambers was created in 2015 with the aim of transforming the private sector into the engine for development on the African continent. The organisation also works within the context of the African Union.

On Monday 4th march, its members were chosen: Ahmed Al Wakil was re-elected as President of the Union of African Chambers of Commerce, while Gregorio Boho Camo, President of the Bioko Chamber of Commerce, was elected as Vice-President for a period of two years.
