On the morning of 5th February, the President of the Republic, H. E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, granted an audience to the Presidents of the two Parliamentary chambers, Gaudencio Mohaba Mesu and Teresa Efua Asangono.
The President of the Republic, as guarantor of the normal running of State institutions, met the leaders of parliament, to look at new working plans, in both the Chamber of Deputies and the Senate. Gaudencio Mohaba Mesu and Teresa Efua Asangono presented the new projects to the Head of State, which were well received by H. E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, as they later stated before the press.
For Gaudencio Mohaba Mesu, the Eighth Legislature of the Chamber of Deputies means a continuing to work with the people, as the sovereign body representing the people, whose interests are defended through respect for the Law. For her Part, the President of the Senate declared that the new phase would serve to strengthen the mechanisms of the upper national body.
The two presidents also thanked the Head of State for trusting them to continue leading, for the second time, the Bicameral Parliament of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea.
