The Head of Business at the accredited Equatorial Guinea Embassy in Ethiopia, Moises Mba Nchama, received in audience on Monday 16th April the accredited Ambassador from the People’s Republic of China before the African Union (AU), Kuang Weilin.
During the meeting, the Chinese diplomat congratulated Equatorial Guinea for its election as non-permanent member of the UN Security Council, and member of the AU Peace and Security Council.
Furthermore, he revealed that the celebration of the China-Africa Summit will take place in the city of Beijing, where the participation of Equatorial Guinea will be led by the Head of State, H. E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo.
Equatorial Guinea and China have maintained excellent relations of friendship and cooperation for over 4 decades, making it “one of the most privileged partners”, stressed Moises Mba Nchama.
The two diplomats made a joint analysis of international politics, placing greater emphasis on matters related to conflict and instability in certain African countries, the war in Syria, the work of the committee of 10 African countries charged with reforming the UN Security Council, and AU institutional reforms, among other matters.
