Since 9th May, H. E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo and First Lady Constancia Mangue de Obiang have been in the city of Mecca, where they were received by the Deputy Governor, Abdellah Bin Bandar Bin Abdelaziz. The last visit by the President of the Republic to Saudi Arabia was from 15th to 17th October, in 2016.
Following greetings between the Saudi authorities and the Equatoguinean presidential entourage, the terminal at the Prince Abdulaziz airport was the setting for the Head of State to exchange his first impressions regarding this State visit.
During his stay in Saudi Arabia, H. E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo hopes to ratify and consolidate cooperation agreements in various areas that Equatorial Guinea and the Arab country signed on the working tour of the Head of State in the Middle East; a trip which took him to various Arab League countries, and made possible the African Union-Arab World Summit in the city of Sipopo (Malabo).
