To close the working schedule on 2nd September in Beijing, the President of the Republic, H. E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, granted an audience to a delegation from UNAIDS, led by Michel Sidibe, executive director of the humanitarian organisation and Deputy General Secretary of the United Nations.
In the presence of the Minister for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Simeon Oyono Esono, the meeting served as a chance to speak about the notable efforts of the Government in relation to the fight against sexually transmitted diseases.
Along those lines, Sidibe praised the official Government programme, adding that more work had to be done to reduce or fully eradicate contagion from the pregnant mother to her child.
The meeting concluded with the commitment by both sides to pay attention to achieving these objectives.
