Head of State holds audience with Spanish Ambassador

The President of the Republic, H. E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, granted an audience to the accredited Extraordinary Plenipotentiary Ambassador from the Kingdom of Spain in our country, Guillermo Lopez Mac Lellan, on 17th October. Topics related to hispanidad, training projects for human resources in the judicial sector and national Parliament, politics in a global context, the situation in Catalonia and security in the Gulf of Guinea region made up the range of subjects covered during the audience which took place at the People’s Palace in Malabo.

In the presence of the Minister for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Simeon Oyono Esono, the audience is the six monthly meeting held by the two figures to look at the state of bilateral relations between the republic of Equatorial Guinea and Spain.

The meeting took place five days after the celebration by the Republic of Equatorial Guinea and the Kingdom of Spain of Hispanidad Day, a national holiday in Spain and the 51st Anniversary of national Independence of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea.
