Just five days before the celebration of the 50th Anniversary of National Independence, the delegations invited by the Government of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea continue to confirm their participation at the event, which this year is pulling out all the stops.
On 8th October it was the Kingdom of Spain Extraordinary Plenipotentiary Ambassador, Guillermo Lopez Mac-Lellan, who announced the presence of a senior delegation from his country in Malabo in a few hours.
The ambassador welcomed this information during the audience held with H. E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, in the presence of the Minister for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Simeon Oyono Esono. Spain will attend with a delegation from the Foreign ministry, led by the Secretary of State, and made up of a contingent of officers from the Armed Forces, who will take part in the great military parade on Friday 12th October 2018, in the nation’s capital.
Mac-Lellan described as good the relations between Equatorial Guinea and Spain, 50 years after independence, with the absence of disputes, as the two countries share values, culture and language.
He also mentioned that there are strong family ties between the two peoples, which is currently becoming stronger.
