On the morning of Monday 9th October, the presidential couple followed their work schedule at the headquarters of the Democratic Party of Equatorial Guinea (PDGE). H. E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo and Constancia Mangue de Obiang were received by the general secretaries and deputies. The first activity focussed on the audience with the Permanent Secretary for Action against Money Laundering in Central Africa (GABAC), Desire Geoffroy Mbock.
During the meeting, the Head of State was assisted by the Secretary of State, Charged with the General Treasury, Milagrosa Obono Angue, in the elaboration of structures to improve the current economic situation.
GABAC is a specialist CEMAC body, with a mission focussed on the fight against money laundering and earnings from organised crime, and the evaluation of effective action in that respect, with assistance from member States through their anti-laundering policies, at both a Central Africa level and internationally.
The meeting focussed on analysis and debate, with respect to the upcoming national elections on 12th November.
