The President of the Republic, H. E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, received Adnan Abdulrhaman A. Almandeel, special envoy from H. M. the King of Saudi Arabia, and the Minister for Foreign Affairs from Republic of the Congo, Jean Claude Gakosso, on 12th April.
The two receptions tool place in the presence of the Minister for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Simeon Oyono Esono Angue, at the People’s Palace in Malabo.
The two special envoys were the bearers of separate messages from H. M. Salman Bin Abdulaziz, King of Saudi Arabia, and H. E. Denis Sassou Nguesso, President of Republic of the Congo.
The strengthening of diplomatic relations was one of the main matters contained in the messages, in addition to other issues of bilateral interest.
The Congolese minister, Jean Claude Gakosso, delivered another message to the President from his counterpart, H. E. Denis Sassou Nguesso, featuring an expression of solidarity with the Government and people of Equatorial Guinea in relation to the constant attacks and attempts to destabilise the country, by enemies of development in the nation.
Furthermore, the message included an invitation for H. E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo to attend the upcoming summit of COMIFAC (Central Africa Forest Commission) and mentioned other matters related to the environment.
