Head of State holds second meting with 50th Anniversary Organising Commission

The President of the Republic, H. E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, called those responsible for organising the events to mark the celebrations of 12th October, the 50th Anniversary of Independence of the Republic, to a fresh meeting at the People’s Palace on 12th September, to outline details for the various activities planned.

With just a few days remaining before the celebration of this national event, and following the inspection of some places of interest in the city of Malabo, H. E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo met for the second time with the organising commission led by the Prime Minister, Francisco Pascual Obama Asue, as General Coordinator, to gather first-hand information on the level op preparation of each designated commission, and the guests who have confirmed their attendance, among other aspects.

The Head of State asked about the progress on activities for each commission, with regards to the preparations for 12th October, the 50th Anniversary of Independence for our Country. At the meeting, each commission provided information on the plans executed, the guests who will arrive, and a budget section, to ensure everything is in progress, among other matters”, said the General Coordinator of the Commission, Francisco Pascual Obama Asue.

Finally, the Head of State invited them to get involved in the task of cleaning up all the cities throughout the nation.

This commission was created on 16th March by order of the President of the Government, and it covers the sub-commissions for Memorandum Creation, Cleaning and Smartening, Transport and Mobilisation, and Information and Propaganda.
