Head of State receives delegation from the Sorbonne

On 17th May, the President of the Republic, H. E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, granted an audience to a delegation from the Sorbonne University in Paris, led by the president of the Pantheon of the Sorbonne and deputy mayor of the French capital, Jacques Soppelsa.

There is a possibility that this world-renowned educational institution will set up relations with educational institutions in our country, and for that reason, after a tour of the rectorate of the city of Djibloho, to get to know the possibilities and opportunities that Equatoguinean students an offer, a meeting was held with the Head of State to convey the willingness of the Sorbonne to work with these national institutions, in relation to the creation of new university disciplines, above al in the fields of ecology, new technologies, and the exec and biological sciences.

In the presence of the Magnificent Rector, Filiberto Ntutumu Nguema, and other components of the entourage, the leader of the nations expressed his willingness to work towards the training of human resources.

Through this initiative, Equatorial Guinea intends to place national universities among the greatest educational institutions in Central Africa.
