On Sunday 25th February, the President of the Republic, H. E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, received three senior delegations from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Republic of Angola, and the People’s Republic of China, at the People’s Palace.
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia representation was led by Almazid Mohammed, Vice-Minister for Defence, and was the first to be seen. The dialogue focussed on the strengthening of relations of friendship and cooperation that exist between the two countries.
Following that, H. E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo received the Angolan Minister for Foreign Relations, Manuel Augusto, who delivered a message of friendship sent by his President, H. E. JoAPound o Lourenco. After delivering the text, the two covered matters of concern to the subregion of Central Africa.
The Equatoguinean President’s meetings closed with a meeting with the official senior delegation from the People’s Republic of China, led by Chang Wan Quan, Minister for Defence, with whom he spoke about south-south cooperation. The Governments of Equatorial Guinea and the People’s Republic of China understand that this cooperation should take on relevance for the economic and social development of their nations.
This meeting was attended by the Vice-President of the Republic, H. E. Teodoro Nguema Obiang Mangue, the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Simeon Oyono Esono, and the Minister of the Presidency, Juan Antonio Bibang Nchuchuma, in addition to accredited diplomats from these friendly nations to our country.
